Highlights
If you can imagine it, you can create it.
It's been a little over half a century since the very first home video game console appeared on the market. From the simple pixel art drawings of the past to the gorgeous Hollywood-level visuals and graphics of today, video games have brought to life countless new digital worlds. In fact, one might say that the games that have so permeated our lives and become a part of our collective popular culture have evolved into a comprehensive form of art that blends the realms of technology and human expression in a way that displays the creativity and individuality of their creators.
Since its founding in 1983, Capcom has grown to become a global game maker based in Osaka and has developed numerous titles that have brought joy to countless people around the world.
Through hand-written design documents, original drawings, posters, box art and other graphical works, along with hands-on corners featuring the latest technology, this exhibition will showcase the intensive process of game creation and the incredible powers of imagination and actualization of the creators involved in bringing what they imagine to life. By investing in such a showing of what goes on behind the scenes, Capcom aims to create a space for people to re-examine Japan's proud gaming culture.
